The idea for this project popped out from memories of my childhood.

When I was 6 years old I lost hearing on one of my ears, which led to that I needed silence when I came home from school. I went stright to my room, closed the door and played alone. I had a great need to create a ”bubble” where nothing could disturb. It was just me and my world, my fantasy world.

I think we all need a place where it’s room for imagination and thoughts! Therefore I wanted explor the space under a table topp and try to create a place for children to fantasize and play. An opportunity to crawl into a small fantasy bubble that excludes a workdays sometimes disturbing sounds and impressions. A break from reality… but still near and safe under the families dining table.
